Good Afternoon,
After another great year, full of great events it is time to start planning for 2026.
As an ASIS Chapter 162 member/ event attendee you are being invited to complete our annual survey in preparations for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) that will be held on Thursday November 20th. This survey is 100% optional and all responses will be anonymous. Information collected from this survey will help our chapter in planning future events as well as gathering feedback from our members.
ASIS Chapter 162 AGM Questionnaire
In addition to the feedback portion of the survey you will note that there is a section related to the upcoming Chapter Elections. As an ASIS International affiliated chapter we are required to hold elections every two (2) years at minimum. The ASIS 162 Chapter Board is made up of (4) votable positions and approximately (6) other volunteer positions.
Votable Positions
Chapter Chair
Vice Chair
Treasurer
Secretary
Volunteer Positions
NextGen representative
Women In Security Lead
Military & Law Enforcement Liaison
Business Liaison
Certification Chair
Mentorship Chair
Chapter Liaison
Previously, chapter members were required to vote every two (2) years on who would be on the ASIS Chapter 162 Board. This year we will be changing the process and there will now be a vote every year during the AGM for the Votable Board Positions, where there will be alternating positions up for election for a two (2) year term. This will help ensure continuity for the Chapter and reduce the risk of a full board replacement.
2025 Elections
Chapter Chair (1 year term, next election would be 2026 for a 2 year term)
Secretary (1 year term, next election would be 2026 for a 2 year term)
Vice Chair (2 year term, next election would be 2027 for a 2 year term)
Treasurer (2 year term, next election would be 2027 for a 2 year term)
Chapter members will also be required to vote on any of the other volunteer positions (NextGen, WIS Lead, etc.) if there are multiple candidates interested.
Anyone who is interested in a position needs to submit their name before the chapter's October event (on Thursday October 16th) in order to be considered for the position. An email will be sent 30-days prior to the AGM to notify chapter members of who is interested in which position.
