The proposed ASIS School Security Standard is a comprehensive tool that contains information regarding program management, risk assessment, behavioral threat assessment management, developing plans, policies, strategies, controls, programs, and training in school security. It covers a wide range of topics, including violence prevention, behavioral threat assessment/management, physical security principles, and concepts such as the use of integrated physical security systems and technologies, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles, and emergency operations planning, training, response, and recovery. This briefing provided a status update on the development of the proposed ASIS School Security Standard.
