After 2 years of waiting, the family of Laura Levis has successfully had Charlie Baker, Governor of Massachusetts, signed into law that the state Department of Public Health creates regulations for emergency room signage, lighting, doorbells or panic buttons, and video surveillance monitoring of any visible hospital doors or entrances that are locked at night.  Video door stations and IP intercoms are one way to "guard" an entrance, allow for both video and audio, and in case of an emergency; opening the entrance remotely.  Now is the time to plan with your capital committees the purchase of additional door stations and video intercoms.

Here is the story of an incredible fight to get this passed in Massachusetts:  https://www.wbur.org/cognoscenti/2021/01/14/laura-levis-asthma-emergency-room-lauras-law-peter-demarco
