For our November meeting, Valeria Demirci of ApiraSol GmbH gave a presentation titled, "Unraveling Complex Supply Chains of Turkish Criminal Groups." 

During the presentation Valeria explored the following topics: 

• The role of customs data in uncovering illicit supply chains and investigating organized crime 
• Collaboration between criminal groups and their operations across multiple jurisdictions -Connections with partners in India, Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia 
• Payment schemes and smuggling routes for counterfeit medicine into Türkiye 
• Shipping routes for counterfeit medicine from Türkiye to Europe and the United States This presentation will provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of organized crime and the global implications of counterfeit pharmaceuticals.
