Corporate investigations have two objectives: determine the complete truth to resolve the matter and protect the site’s security culture. Interviews can be highly impactful to the interviewee’s sense of status, relationships, and fairness. Regardless of if the interviewee is a witness or person of interest, or just someone gathering evidence for you - all will remember how you treated them, having a lasting effect on them and those around them and a direct impact on employee engagement.
Some courses on interviewing already emphasize developing rapport, however, building connection that goes beyond rapport and is more impactful for successful interviews and keeps contributing to business success and employee’s perception of a safe workplace long after the investigation is over.
Watch the replay to:
- Improve empathy and compassion in your interviewing philosophy.
- Enhance business partner status.
- Deliver compassionate interviewing training to other departments.
