Suitable procedures for dealing with a situation involving an active shooter scenario include:
Be aware of your surroundings and potential threats in any facility you visit.
Write down the locations of the two closest exits.
If you are in an office, remain there and secure the door.
If you are in a hallway, get into a room and secure the door.
As a last resort, try to take the active shooter down. If you try to disable the shooter when they are nearby and you can't get away, your chances of surviving are substantially higher.
