Cultural venues such as museums, galleries, libraries, historical sites, and Houses of Worship are often targeted for political, ideological, cultural, or religious reasons.  This webinar discussed the issues that impact cultural venues when faced with the threat of protests.

Panelists:
Eric Drewry, CPP is the Director of Protection Services at the Detroit Institute of Arts, and Founder and CEO of Drewry Consulting Group, a broad-spectrum physical security and crisis management firm specializing in risk mitigation and organizational crisis preparedness.  Across more than 20 years in the safety and security industry, Eric has accumulated a wealth of experience in high-value asset and personnel protection, crisis preparedness and management, and business continuity planning.

Glenn Dowd, MPA, CPP is the Associate Director of Safety and Security Operations at the American Museum of Natural History, in New York City where he has worked since 2014 and oversees a staff of 130 guards and 16 managers.  A former New York City Police Sergeant, Glenn has a total of 35 years of combined experience in public safety and private security.

Jeff Slotnick, CPP, PSP is an internationally known Enterprise Security Risk Consultant with more than 28 years of experience, peer recognized as a “Thought Leader” and a “Critical Architect in homeland security.” As an ISO credentialed Lead Auditor, Jeff is responsible for some of the latest All Hazards Disaster Resilience, Organizational Resilience Management, ISO/ANSI Standards Development, Resiliency Information Management Processes, and Enterprise Security Risk Management.

Andy Davis, CPP is the Chair of the ASIS International Cultural Properties Community. Andy is a former diplomat and senior level security risk management professional having operated in over 40 countries around the world. Over the past 10 years he has been directly involved in the protection of cultural and heritage sites including museum designs, threat and vulnerability audits, operational direction, and the provision of crisis response services. His company is the leading provider of Cultural Protection Services to national and international clients and has been responsible for the development of specialist cultural sector training programmes that are sought after globally.
