Introducing the ASIS FUTURE Operations Center Interest Group
Shaping the next generation of operations centers and joint resilience operations

The world we protect is changing faster than ever. Operations centers—GSOCs, SOCs, EOCs, NOCs, fusion centers and more—sit at the heart of organizational resilience, yet they are often fragmented by discipline, technology, and terminology.

The new ASIS FUTURE Operations Center Interest Group has been created to bring together security, risk, continuity, and operations professionals who want to enhance their current operations and help envision the next generation of multi-disciplinary, intelligence-led operations centers.

    Our Purpose

The FUTURE Operations Center Interest Group exists to strengthen operational resilience, efficiency, and coordination across the enterprise by serving as a central forum for:

    - Collaboration among physical security, cyber, business continuity, emergency management, risk, and other protective disciplines

    - Innovation, including practical use of AI, analytics, and emerging technologies in operations centers

    - Sharing best practices for current and future SOCs, GSOCs, EOCs, NOCs, and joint operations centers

A key objective of the group is to develop a common framework and terminology that can support both single-purpose centers and those with joint operations, helping organizations harmonize operations center functions and processes across all operational resilience disciplines.

    Our Mission

    - Develop a cross-functional framework and common language for any operations center

    - Improve decision-making through better data, shared intelligence, and reliable communications

    - Foster a culture of continuous improvement in support of operational resilience and organizational objectives

    - Bring together stakeholders across protective disciplines to identify challenges, share knowledge, and co-create strategies that enhance performance, readiness, and adaptability
