About the Speakers

Chris Cannon is the Director of Physical Security at Nemours Children’s Healthcare System across 5 states and at over 90 locations. Chris is currently responsible for developing, implementing, and administering the corporate physical security program across the Nemours enterprise. Chris began his security career over 30 years ago in law enforcement where he served for 16 years prior to moving into the private sector. Chris holds an MPA and a BS in Criminal Justice from Columbus State University. Chris serves as the Treasurer for the ASIS North Florida Chapter and is a member of the ASIS Healthcare Steering Committee.

Chris Hernandez is the Public Safety Manager – Florida Offsites for Nemours Children’s Healthcare System. Chris’ scope of responsibility includes the Nemours Corporate Office in Jacksonville, Florida as well as over 40 offsite primary, specialty, and urgent care locations. Prior to joining Nemours, Chris held many roles with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Department where he served for over 18 years. Chris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida and is a member of the ASIS North Florida Chapter.
