    We may be just getting started, but one thing is certain: the strength of our chapter comes from the professionals who make up our community. That’s why we’re continuing our Member Spotlight series to recognize individuals who bring expertise, passion, and potential to our organization.

    This week, we’re proud to spotlight Micah Weinstein, whose professional background and commitment reflect the kind of leadership and collaboration we hope to cultivate across the chapter.

    🎯 Current Roles: Security Program Manager at Avangrid and Chief in the United States Coast Guard Reserve.

    💬 Why We’re Spotlighting Micah: Micah is an experienced leader and professional in the security and critical infrastructure space which began 18 years ago with his military service. Securing infrastructure and personnel across the United States of both onshore and offshore operations, he has demonstrated a well-rounded flexible portfolio of incident response, management, and industry knowledge. Micah is looking forward to his involvement with the Southern CT chapter and connecting with other security professionals.

    As we continue to re-engage and grow, we encourage all members to get involved—whether by sharing knowledge, contributing ideas, or simply connecting with fellow professionals.

    💬 Why We’re Spotlighting Jonathan: Jonathan is passionate about safeguarding associates and assets through innovative physical security solutions and strategic risk management. He has achieved significant cost reductions in security spend while simultaneously enhancing protection at high-risk sites through strategic mitigation of physical security controls. Jonathan successfully championed card reader installations in office areas for Return to Office initiatives, securing PhySec approval through effective policy mitigations that provide associates with secure spaces for storing Amazon files and conducting meetings. He directed site camera optimization to effectively resolve Theft and Workplace Incident Management escalations. By sharing best practices and insights with the Pillar Team, Jonathan has driven security improvements across the Northeast Region. He regularly conducts training sessions that equip site leaders with critical emergency response capabilities. Jonathan is committed to balancing operational excellence with associate safety through data-driven security strategies and a culture of continuous improvement.

    As we continue to re-engage and grow, we encourage all members to get involved—whether by sharing knowledge, contributing ideas, or simply connecting with fellow professionals.
