  • Crisis Communications: Lessons from the Frontlines

ASIS International's Crisis Management and Business Continuity (CMBC) Community presents Crisis Communications: Lessons from the Frontlines, a moderated Q&A with Don Aviv, CPP, PSP, PCI, CEO of Interfor International on Wednesday, April 22 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (EDT).

Crisis communications is one of the most consequential and often misunderstood competencies in the security profession. In this Lunch & Learn session, ASIS International's Crisis Management and Business Continuity Community sits down with Don Aviv, CPP, PSP, PCI, CEO of Interfor International, for a candid, frontlines-informed conversation on what it truly takes to communicate effectively when it matters most. Drawing on extensive real-world experience navigating high-stakes crises across industries, Don will share his perspective on the security professional's role in crisis communications planning and execution, the hard lessons learned when communications efforts have succeeded or fallen short, and the often-overlooked intersection of security and media relations. Whether you are looking to strengthen your organization's crisis communications framework, earn a seat at the table when a crisis unfolds, or simply better understand how the media operates in high-pressure situations, this session will deliver practical, experience-driven insights you can put to work immediately.
