    ASIS Pharma Security, Human Threat Management and Risk Intelligence Communities Joint Meeting 6/2/2026, Noon-1:30 pm(ET) (Open to all ASIS Members)

    Please join our Pharma Security, Human Threat Management and Risk Intelligence Communities for a discussion on How are Nation States, Human Threats and Risk Intelligence shaping Global and Pharma security?.

    Panelists from our ASIS Pharma Security, Human Threat Management and Risk Intelligence communities will discuss their practical experience with developing and implementing programs to identify and mitigate the evolving and convergent geopolitical threat landscape (state-sponsored and affiliated activity) we are seeing across all business sectors including life sciences.

    John Rodriguez, is the founder of Empathic Security Cultures, LLC, based in Austin, Texas with more than 40+ years of corporate security experience working for major corporations including General Motors, Kimberly-Clark, Levi Strauss & Co. and Cardinal Health. John earned his CPP in 1989. He previously was the CSO for Temple-Inland in Austin, Texas. John is a globally recognized security culture expert and works with global security departments and leadership teams to enhance their security programs for improved employee engagement and talent retention. John is a Human Threat Management and Investigations Community steering committee member.

    Todd Sowinski is Vice-President of Enterprise Risk, Resilience and Security at West Pharmaceutical Services, where he leads Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance Risk Management, Global Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Security programs across the company’s global operations. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with more than 30 years of leadership experience, he has held roles spanning regulatory affairs, corporate strategy, security and risk management in multinational environments. Todd is an active member of the ASIS CSO Center and currently serves as Chair of the ASIS Pharmaceutical Security Steering Committee.

    Kevin Weekes founded ZENRS in 2008, an International Risk Consultancy providing Insider Threat mitigation services. Prior to this, he spent 30 years in UK government service in Military Intelligence and Law Enforcement, counter terrorism, narcotics trafficking and fraud. Kevin has extensive international experience rooting out Insider Threats from Hostile Nation States, Organised Crime Groups and Single Issue Extremists, as well as creating Insider Threats against our enemies. He, along with Gary, are members of the ASIS Risk Intelligence and Human Threat Management communities and was responsible for helping compile the current ASIS Standard on Pre-Employment Screening."

    Gary "GI" Wilson is a combat veteran with over 30 years of military service, augmented by extensive experience in law enforcement, emergency services, threat assessment, and crisis management. A published author in professional journals, he is also a recognized media commentator. Wilson is an adjunct professor at Palomar College, holding certifications as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Certified Threat Manager (CTM), and a DHS National Threat Evaluation and Reporting Certified Master Trainer (CMT).
