    Hello ASIS School Safety & Security Community!

You might remember that Kristina is a survivor of the Virginia Tech school shooting tragedy and she was the guest speaker for our Dec. 2022 Community Meeting.     This is Kristina from The Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools, I'm pleased to share that we have announced a new date for our virtual Threat Assessment in Education conference on December 7th, 2023. Please see registration and details below: 

    Threat Assessment in Education Virtual Conference

    The Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools is pleased to announce a half-day virtual training focused on threat management within education. 

    This training will be held via Zoom. Attendees will hear from Heilit Biehl (Jefferson County CO)  and Tim Read (Westminster Police Department, CO) about their experience in building and sustaining threat assessment programs, as well as establishing collaborative relationships with law enforcement and community partners.

    To help us understand the importance of prevention and recovery, attendees will also hear from Dr. Joseph Peterson, an educator who survived the 2008 Northern Illinois University shooting. 

    Date: Thursday, December 7th, 2023

    Time: 8:30am – 12pm Pacific

    Pricing: If your organization is able to reimburse training costs, the Koshka Foundation is grateful for this financial support, we offer two tickets at $75 and $30 to select depending on your budget.

    We do not want cost to be a barrier, please select the Free Scholarship ticket for a complimentary ticket.
