Punky Duero is the Senior Director of Engineering at Ollivier Corporation – a systems engineering company providing enterprise security solutions in California. He is responsible for the company’s information systems including architecture and standards for deployment. With more than 10 years of experience on information security, physical security, software development and risk management, Duero brings in technical leadership and operational expertise to help bridge the gap between information security and physical security technologies.
Punky is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and GIAC Security Leadership Certified (GSLC). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is a master certified in security systems such as Lenel OnGuard, AMAG, Avigilon, Schlage SMS, S2 and Brivo. He is a fellow speaker providing lectures about information security, key management and physical security on conferences from different communities like DEFCON, NANOG and ISC West.
Prior to Ollivier, he was the Cryptographic Key Manager for ICANN – a not-for-profit organization that manages the global internet’s Domain Name System (DNS). He was the Subject Matter Expert for Information Security Governance, Third Party Oversight and Key Management for its Policy Management Authority. During his tenure, he also co-authored and helped maintain various technical documents that govern the Root DNSSEC KSK operations.
