David Paulos brings 13 years of experience and expertise to his position at Whelan Security Mid-Atlantic, LLC. David spent six years in the United States Army where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. David then graduated from the Primary Leadership Development course on the Commandant’s List. During his four-year tour of duty in Germany as a Security Agent, David provided executive protection for United States Congressmen, Foreign Dignitaries, Secretary of the Army, Secretary of Defense, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
After he finished serving in the Army, David focused his attention on his academic career and graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Criminal Justice. David spent a majority of his professional security career with AlliedBarton where he started off as an Account Manager and worked his way to overseeing one of the largest portfolios in the National Capital Region as the Director of Security.
David is an active member for the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) where he serves as the Chapter Chair and Chair of the Young Professionals Committee for the Maryland Suburban Chapter. In addition, he serves on the ASIS International Commercial Real Estate Council. David is also a member of AOBA’s Emergency Preparedness Committee. David recently graduated from Georgetown University’s International Security Management Association Strategic Leadership Program.
